Multifox For Chrome
After a FF upgrade (from maybe version 17 or 19 to version 22 I think, I'm a little late in complaining about this), the Multifox functionality stopped working. Now, when one tries to open a new identity profile (enabling multiple Yahoo or Gmail accounts to be open at the same time), there's an error message: 'Multifox is not available from private windows. Please try again from a regular window.' I was previously able to 'privately browse' by turning off the history, etc., and this had no bearing on my ability to open a new identity profile window. Are there plans to restore this?

I don't ever store history, but I'd like to see multiple e-mail accounts simultaneously. It's really a shame that this got 'fixed'.

If you are using Firefox, then you can use the MultiFox add-on to login into multiple accounts at the same time.

Private Browsing and not saving browser history aren't exactly the same thing. In Options Privacy you can disable Remember my browsing history and download history and not enable Private Browsing. Have you tried doing it in that manner? YMMV, I haven't tried it myself, so it is just a suggestion As far as Firefox rote behavior, IMO the place to look for a 'solution' for multiple simultaneous logins to the same server is with the Multi-Fox developer. Unlike many other browsers out there, Firefox uses one executable instance for all open windows and tabs. And IMO until Mozilla changes to separate instances per window (as with IE) or multiple instances per tab (as I am told Chrome does) there isn't going to be a true solution beyond what an add-on may provide.
